A house project from Simon Brown, better known as the Dexorcist with releases on various labels
such as Control Tower, SMB records and Battle Trax.
This first release as Abraham Cowley shows us the extent of Simon's audio weaponry skills. This EP of four tracks
takes us on a dark, synth and bass retro detroit influenced house vibe.
An eerie yet cinematic synth line takes us through "A step Goodbye' with deep, heavy pounding beats and rolling
bass. 'Brother Number 9' is a dark bleepy bass workout with pounding drums.
On a more thoughtful, cinematic vibe, 'Stokie Shuffle' has arpegiated bleeps and lighter synths driven by
an IDM house step beat structure.
'I Cant Stop' with its old school house bassline and melancholic synths is a classic retro house track.
The two selected vinyl tracks are deep heavy warehouse workouts that will stir up any floor.
All in all a classic timeless house EP.

Fusing the many styles for which he's become known over the years in his Dexorcist guise,
and of the literally years he's spent behind the decks, (just try getting him off them at after parties !)
this release is so good.
Especially ' Brother No. 9 ' for me - House tempo, but all the energy of Techno with a distinctly London sound. …and with his trademark dark strings...
